Welcome to the Country Girl

The Country Girl offers a variety of adventures and private cruises year round. Offshore wreckfishing trips and Gulf Steam charters are her mainstay. Our Carolina-style charter boat plays a special role in the Pirate's Cove fleet being licensed and built to take more than six anglers per Gulf Stream trip. The 57-foot vessel was built locally by Buddy Cannady Boatworks. She is Coast Guard licensed to hold up to 38 passengers depending on the distance she travels. We take 27 anglers on wreckfishing trips and between 6-12 people on Gulf Stream charters. Open from cabin to stern on both sides, the Country Girl is roomy and comfortable. Ocean-going trips are rewarding not only offering the chance to fish for sizeable meat fish and billfish but also for the nature one can witness.

Bird watching trips are a seasonal favorite giving enthusiasts the chance to see rare, pelagic species that do not come to our shores. Our crew features Captain Allan Forman who has been running charter boats and headboats in our waters for 35 years. Experienced mates join him and are ready to assist anglers if needed. We take safety to heart and are equipped with life jackets and two life boats as well as the latest navigational equipment. Tackle and bait are supplied. You may bring food and drink in a reasonably-sized cooler. Proper attire is recommended. Weather-permitting , we fish Gulf Stream trips year round. Wreckfishing trips are scheduled in-season from early May to Mid October. Tickets are sold in advance and can be purchased over the phone or at the office located near Pirate's Cove's Ship's Store. It is advisable and never too early to book your trip.
